about Kristy

I'm a California native plant landscape designer and textile artist and honestly, I love plants in every form — growing them, eating them, spotting them in the wild. You get the picture.

I also love thrifting. I have since wayyyy back in 1995 when I thrifted old grandpa cardigans with my older sister for $2.00. Those were the days!

Natural dyeing and ‘thank the plants’ has evolved from my love and curiosity for plants, my love of thrifting natural fibers, and tie dyeing, but wanting a more natural dye version than the synthetic dyes in the plastic squeeze bottles.

I didn't plan for it to become a whole thing.

But it took over my house with pre-loved textiles, turned my unused atrium into a makeshift dye studio, and my garden full of dye plants.

And now I get to share the beauty of plant color with you. I cannot wait to share the first collection with you!!

always,

Kristy
