Pink and orange are two of my favorite colors so when I found this 100% cotton tote, second-hand, I knew it needed a fun make over.
I took it home and dyed it with cochineal for that gorgeous pink, then eco-printed and flower pounded (also called Tataki-zome) with my home grown coreopsis flowers.
Perfect for carrying a small laptop and book to the coffee shop or a little farmer’s market haul. Make it your own with bag charms, a tied bandana, or political pins for that DIY Art-girl vibe. One-of-a-kind 🌼✨

These pieces were dyed with cochineal, coreopsis, marigold, cosmos, logwood and sometimes scabiosa — plants and pigments that shift and soften over time. That's not a flaw, it's the piece continuing to change with you. Consider every fade part of its history.
Wash cold, with like colors or by itself for a few washes
Lay flat to dry, out of direct sun
Use a pH-neutral detergent (we like 7th Generation and ECOS)
Every piece is reclaimed and hand-dyed, so color will vary garment to garment — that variation is what makes it one-of-one, not something already worn by someone else. I’ll note any major flaws or spotting in the photographs or the listing.
