Upcycled H&M button up that I fell in love with. She’s the little sister to #11. I love a linen button up in a stripe and couldn’t wait to add coreopsis flowers from the garden.
I used a technique called flower-pounding or tataki-zome, where I place fresh flowers straight from the garden onto the dress, then cover with a cloth, and hammer with the back of a pestle. It’s fun rhythmic work that makes these beautiful flower prints. Flowers are on the pocket, back and elbows, to make even a boring workday fun ;)
** slightly discounted since the flower dye was so potent, some of the orange leached off for a more tie dyed effect.

Care Instructions
These pieces were dyed with cochineal, coreopsis, marigold, cosmos, logwood and sometimes scabiosa — plants and pigments that shift and soften over time. That's not a flaw, it's the piece continuing to change with you. Consider every fade part of its history.
Wash cold, with like colors or by itself for a few washes
Lay flat to dry, out of direct sun
Use a pH-neutral detergent (we like 7th Generation and ECOS)
Every piece is reclaimed and hand-dyed, so color will vary garment to garment — that variation is what makes it one-of-one, not something already worn by someone else. I’ll note any major flaws or spotting in the photographs or the listing.
